Stone Footing Ltd – Delivery & Returns Terms and Conditions

Delivery Policy
Standard Delivery Timeframe
Delivery is generally completed within 4–6 working days after order placement. This may vary for remote or less accessible postcodes.
We strongly advise not to book any tradespeople or equipment hire until your full order has been received and checked.
Third-Party Delivery Network
Deliveries are handled by reliable third-party pallet delivery services, such as Palletways.
During peak seasons or unforeseen circumstances, delivery delays may occur. While we work hard to ensure timely delivery, Stone Footing Ltd is not liable for delays beyond our control.
Kerbside Delivery
All deliveries are kerbside only via tail-lift and manual pallet truck, dropped at the nearest accessible hard surface.
Delivery vehicles are typically 18-tonne trucks. If your road is too narrow, a 12-tonne vehicle may be arranged where possible. For 7.5-tonne vehicles, repacking fees may apply unless the order is below 500kg.
Customer Responsibility
Customers must inform us before placing an order of any access restrictions (e.g., narrow roads, steep driveways, limited turning space).
If the delivery fails due to access issues or if no one is present to receive the goods, re-delivery charges of £150–£200 per pallet will apply.
Delivery Surcharges
Certain postcodes fall outside our free delivery zone and will incur a surcharge.
If the surcharge is not paid, the order will be canceled and refunded.
Returns & Cancellation Policy
14-Day Return Window
You may return goods within 7 days of receipt, provided they are:
- In full packs
- Unused, unopened, and in original saleable condition
- Properly repackaged to ensure safe return
Return Costs
Return delivery and original delivery charges are borne by the customer:
- Approx. £85 per pallet for original delivery
- £85 for return delivery
- £30 restocking & inspection fee per pallet
If packaging is not suitable for return, repackaging is customer’s responsibility. Poor packaging may result in failed collection or return rejection.
Cancellation After Dispatch
Orders canceled after dispatch are subject to the same delivery and restocking charges.
A refund will be processed after goods are returned and inspected, minus applicable fees.
Damages & Claims
Upon Delivery
Always inspect your goods upon delivery. If damaged, sign the delivery note as “Damaged” and inform us within 24 hours via email at:

Include: Order number and clear photos of damages.
Damage Allowance
As per industry standards, up to 12% of damage may occur in transit and is not claimable.
For damage between 12%–20%, a proportional refund will be offered.
Additional Notes
Once goods are dispatched, Stone Footing Ltd’s contract with the delivery partner concludes.
Do not begin any construction work until your full order has been received and verified.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
